Who this policy covers
This policy explains how PageAdvice handles personal information when you visit pageadvice.app, create an account, sign in, submit a public URL, save a report, contact support, or use paid features when they become available.
What we collect
We collect account details you provide, such as your name and email address; sign-in information received from Google or GitHub when you choose social sign-in; URLs you submit for review; generated reports and the page screenshot each one is based on; essential session cookies; support messages; and limited technical logs needed to operate and protect the service.
How page reviews work
PageAdvice temporarily loads a publicly accessible URL and processes visible page content, metadata, and a screenshot to produce a review. Extracted page text and temporary review files are removed after processing. The screenshot is stored alongside the report so findings can be shown against the page they describe, and is deleted 90 days after the review. The submitted URL and generated report are retained when you are signed in so that report history works, and for an anonymous review for as long as its share link lives. Do not submit pages containing personal or confidential information that you are not authorized to process.
Why we use information
We use information to provide reviews and account features, authenticate users, save report history, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, maintain security, improve reliability, process paid access when enabled, and comply with legal obligations. We limit use to what is reasonably necessary for those purposes.
Retention and choices
Saved reports remain available while your account is active, and the screenshot attached to a report is deleted 90 days after that review. Account, billing, and security records may be kept longer where reasonably required for fraud prevention, disputes, accounting, or law. You may request access, correction, export, or deletion by emailing hello@pageadvice.app. Deleting an account removes access to its saved reports and cannot be undone.
International processing
Providers may process data in countries outside your own. We use the safeguards offered by those providers and limit the information shared to what is necessary.
Security and children
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. PageAdvice is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes and will revise the date above. Questions, privacy requests, or complaints can be sent to hello@pageadvice.app.
